Spotted here in Knoxville on it's way to the Lane Motor Museum (Where else?), an Avantime! Would have made my week, if not anything else, to have seen it...but sadly I didn't, because I'm pretty sure I was in class at the time it stopped. Pictures were taken off the Knoxville Car Enthusiasts facebook page.

I love that it's just sitting there with the original UK plates, and not so much as a temporary US tag. It could just be in the car park in my local town centre—well, when you ignore the extremely American quantity of SUVs - and that one saloon - in the background, anyway. Hell, I think I even see a tax disc in the window.

Yup, current tax and MOT. That thing could be taken back to the UK tomorrow and legally driven.

My dad once considered buying one of these back when Matra was still a thing. Went for a Volvo instead. Yet another entry on his endless list of ultra jalop cars he considered buying but never did.

If you ever see a UK-plated car and fancy knowing some basic details, just head over to this site:

And have a look. You'll need the plate and the manufacturer. It's a helpful side-benefit of our cars having the same number plates from the day they're registered to the day they're crushed.
